Job summary

The Boldt Company is seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across healthcare, industrial, power and energy, commercial, education, and mission-critical sectors. You will work with project managers, superintendents, trade partners, and clients to help manage schedules and site documentation.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer with a general contractor, and are willing to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer from a general contractor.
  • Ability to support RFIs, submittals, and procurement tracking.
  • Willingness to engage daily with Superintendents and field teams.
  • Experience in tracking productivity, percent complete, and schedule updates.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, high-energy jobsite environment.
  • Desire to grow a long-term career in construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across multiple markets.
  • Help manage project schedules, subcontractor coordination, procurement, budgeting, quality control, and field documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents and trade partners to drive project outcomes.
  • Support look-ahead planning and look for continuous improvement on site.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the construction lifecycle.

As a Project Engineer at Boldt, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects across a variety of markets, including healthcare, industrial, power and energy, commercial, education, and mission-critical facilities. Working alongside project managers, superintendents, trade partners, and clients, you'll help manage project schedules, subcontractor coordination, procurement, budgeting, quality control, and job-site documentation. Project Engineers gain hands-on experience throughout the construction lifecycle while building strong relationships and developing the technical and leadership skills needed to drive successful project outcomes. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to project sites. Travel frequency will vary based on project assignment and business needs.

The anticipated salary range for a position like this would be $66,000 - $84,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring

Compensation

Target Hiring Range: $66,000 - $84,000 annually

Boldt recognizes that experience, expertise, and specialized skills create value. The target hiring range for this position is $66,000 - $84,000 annually; compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, geographic market conditions, internal equity, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to base compensation, employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus and participation in applicable company benefit programs.
