TNP has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer to join an established design team in our Fort Worth, TX office. This Project Engineer will be responsible for plan production and the design of various public/private sector projects, including municipal roadway, stormwater/drainage, potable water, wastewater, and site development projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in planning, design, and construction of public works infrastructure, collaborate with a diverse team, and develop project management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform research and complete technical design tasks, plan production, and project delivery as required and assigned.
- Prepare construction documents for public and private infrastructure projects from conceptual to final design.
- Perform construction administration duties.
- Prepare proposals, reports, schedules, cost opinions, specifications, and contract documents.
- Establish good communication and collaborative relationships with team members and clients.
- Organize and schedule your work and assist in managing team tasks to meet project goals within budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate with technical experts, other design teams, and sub-consultants.
- Assist Project Managers in project and client management.
- Supervise Civil Engineers and CAD Designers.
- Contribute to the technical training and development of junior engineers.
Requirements:
Education/Certification:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer (Civil) in Texas
Professional Skills:
- Responsive and results-oriented in serving clients and the team
- 4-6 years of experience in public works infrastructure design preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office; Storm CAD and Arc Map preferred
- Strong commitment to professional development
- Ability to develop solid working relationships in a team environment
- Effective organization and management skills for multiple tasks
