Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team. This role assists the project team in completing designated projects while learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

You will gain hands-on experience with RFIs, shop drawings, vendor coordination, safety procedures and city permit inspections, while contributing to the project schedule and site logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control is a plus.
• Experience with Procore is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in RFIs generation and approvals tracking.
• Maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
• Learn dimensional control and verify shop drawings.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Understand site logistics.
• Participate in permit inspection processes.
• Update office and site plans with RFIs and ASIs.
• Support punchlist inspections and monitor completion.
• Help prepare and update the project schedule.

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our National Mission Critical team!

This individual will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a focus on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

Some things you can expect to do

• Help generate Requests For Information (RFIs) and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
• Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Gain an understanding for overall site logistics.
• Participate in and gain an understanding of the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on Punchlist inspections, record Punchlist items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
• Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in commercial construction.

• Have general knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems.
• Experience in Construction Management Software (i.e. Procore).
• Design-build commercial construction experience.

Compensation

The salary range is $70,000 - $85,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
