Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for mining and bulk material handling equipment to lead the design and development of large conveyors, crushers, tanks and foundations.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and structural engineers and drafters, coordinate staffing, schedules, and budgets, and provide status reports while liaising with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University.
• 5+ years experience in Project Management for heavy bulk material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Mechanical and Structural Engineers and Designers/Drafters to develop conveyors, crushers, tanks, foundations, beams, supports.
• Coordinate staffing requirements, schedules and budgets; provide status reports and reviews of expenditures.
• Maintain customer contact and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
• Mentor Junior Engineers and oversee project performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant steel and building codes and material specs.

Job title: Project Engineer -- Mining and Bulk Material Handling Equipment

We have a customer in Denver, Colorado who has an IMMEDIATE long-term DIRECT HIRE opening for a Project Engineer with experience in the design and development of large bulk material handling equipment.

In this role you will be involved in leading a team of Mechanical and Structural Engineers and Designers/Drafters to develop large conveyors, crushers, screens, tanks, pipes, foundations, platforms, beams, supports, etc. for mining and related equipment. You will lead and coordinate project staffing requirements and oversite, maintain schedules and budgets, provide reports on project status, reviews of expenditures, customer contact, vendor coordination and mentoring of Junior Engineers.

This position must be worked full-time on-site at company facility in Denver, CO.

Salary range is in the +-110-140K range

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or similar from an accredited University, 5 years+ experience in Project Managementworking with heavy large bulk material handling, mining or similar equipment.
• Must have strong background in Project management including coordinate project staffing requirements and oversite, maintain schedules and budgets, provide reports on project status, reviews of expenditures, customer contact, vendor coordination and mentoring of Junior Engineers.
• Experience with AUTOCAD2D/3D, Advance Steel, RISA-3D or similar, AISC, Solidworks a plus
• Strong background in indirectly overseeing engineers and designers who are assigned to projects in conjunction and understanding of material specifications and relevant steel and building codes, load calculations, 2D/3D drawings, material take-offs, bill of materials/BOMs, review of vendor documents
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills
