Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer - Mechanical QC to support QA/QC for mechanical systems on hyperscale data center construction projects. You will collaborate with construction managers, QA/QC managers, and subcontractors to ensure installations meet approved drawings, specs, submittals, and codes.

The role emphasizes field inspections, quality documentation, deficiency tracking, testing, commissioning readiness, and turnover for critical mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Support QA/QC Managers, Construction Managers, and Superintendents with day-to-day quality activities for mechanical construction.
• Perform and document field inspections of mechanical installations to verify compliance with drawings, specs, submittals, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and project quality standards.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and installation requirements to support field quality activities.
• Support quality oversight for mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC, piping, hydronic systems, plumbing, pumps, air-handling equipment, cooling systems, and associated components.
• Assist with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, quality reports, deficiency logs, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Identify and document installation deficiencies and nonconforming work and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to track corrective actions through resolution.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality activities with mechanical subcontractors, third-party inspectors, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Verify equipment and material installations against approved submittals.

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Project Engineer - Mechanical QC to support quality assurance and quality control activities for mechanical systems on hyperscale data center construction projects.

Working alongside Construction Managers, QA/QC Managers, Superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives, you'll help ensure mechanical installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and project quality standards.
