Job summary

Legacy Professional Services in Indiana seeks a Project Engineer – Mechanical QC to support QA/QC activities for mechanical systems on hyperscale data center construction projects. You will work with Construction Managers, QA/QC Managers, and subcontractors to ensure installations meet drawings, specs, submittals, and codes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years in mechanical construction quality or field engineering, with strong organization and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years in mechanical construction quality or field engineering.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting field inspections, documentation, testing, or deficiency tracking.
• Familiarity with HVAC, piping, and related systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist QA/QC Managers with day-to-day quality activities for mechanical construction.
• Perform and document field inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, submittals, and codes.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and installation requirements to support quality.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with subcontractors, third-party inspectors, and client representatives.
• Support turnover documentation and project closeout activities.
