Job summary

Murray Company is seeking a Project Engineer in San Diego, CA, with anticipated travel to local project sites. You will support project managers and field leaders in plumbing and mechanical projects, helping coordinate activities to meet goals on time and on budget.

This entry-level PM role emphasizes hands-on planning, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork within our commercial division. The position offers growth, stability, and a strong ESOP-friendly benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 2+ years of mechanical contracting experience, supporting full mechanical scopes (plumbing and HVAC).
• Proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy.
• Exposure to construction software such as Bluebeam preferred.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks and/or Autodesk Build / Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning work schedules and manpower.
• Assist coordination of project personnel to keep progress on schedule and budget.
• Identify potential problems and assist in solving schedule issues.
• Prepare letters, memos, reports, and procedures as needed.
• Oversee day-to-day administrative items per supervisor's guidance.
• Prepare special reports and analyses with limited instruction.
