Job summary

Murray Company Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Riverside, CA team. This role is an entry point into construction project management, supporting PMs and field leaders across commercial plumbing and mechanical projects.

You will coordinate planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure projects meet goals and budgets. The position offers exposure to best-in-class project management practices, with travel to project sites as needed, and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of prior experience in mechanical contracting with a focus on plumbing and HVAC.
• Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.
• Exposure to construction software such as Bluebeam; Revit/Navisworks/Autodesk Build or Procore a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning work schedule, manpower, and assignment of personnel.
• Coordinate project activities to keep progress on schedule and within budget.
• Identify potential problems and assist in resolving schedule conflicts.
• Prepare letters, memos, and reports as required.
• Oversee day-to-day administrative items per supervisor’s direction.
• Prepare reports and analyses as requested by supervisor.
