Job summary

Murray Company Mechanical Contractors seeks a Project Engineer to join its mechanical contracting team in Riverside, CA. This entry point into construction project management supports planning and coordination across projects, with emphasis on plumbing and HVAC scopes, under experienced PMs and field leaders.

You will contribute to scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and project coordination, while growing professionally within a value-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering or similar area of study.
• 2+ years of prior experience in mechanical contracting with a specialty in supporting full mechanical scopes (plumbing and HVAC).
• Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, and arranging for assignment of project personnel.
• Assist in the coordination of project personnel activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• May advise Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
• Compose and/or edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures as required.
• Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items per supervisor’s authorization.
• Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analysis per supervisor’s request.
