Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a processing/engineering discipline.
• Experience leading capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Drive capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept to production release.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain and suppliers.
• Lead technical validation activities, including design reviews, vendor management, installation, commissioning, qualification and issue resolution.

Job Title: Project Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Mahwah, NJ

Job Summary:

• The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release. Working closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers, this role ensures projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives.
• This position serves as the technical validation lead for project execution, working with equipment SME on design reviews, vendor management, installation, commissioning, qualification, and issue resolution across multiple manufacturing projects.
• This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires professional mastery of a specialized field of expertise that typically requires a college degree or equivalent. Job requires a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree in process or equivalent and no experience
• Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.
• Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
• PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.
