  • Support Project Managers with execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects.

  • Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
  • Support FAT/SAT activities and resolve technical issues with teams and suppliers.
  • Maintain schedules and project documentation; track status updates.

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release.

In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with quality and operational requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer or recent engineering graduate who wants hands-on exposure to manufacturing, project engineering, capital equipment, and cross-functional project execution.

What You'll Do
  • Support Project Managers with the execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Coordinate project activities, track action items, and communicate updates across cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in design reviews and work with engineering subject matter experts and equipment suppliers.
  • Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues with engineering teams and equipment suppliers.
  • Maintain project schedules, documentation, technical records, and project status updates.
  • Support equipment and process implementation from concept through production release.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Spend time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while progressively taking ownership of project activities.
  • Apply engineering judgment and problem-solving skills to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of engineering experience; internships and co-op experience are welcome.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.

Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based environments.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, robotics, or capital equipment.
  • Experience working on engineering or team-based projects through school, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or other project management tools.
  • Experience or exposure to the medical device industry is a plus.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certifications are a plus but not required.

You should be willing to learn how manufacturing projects are planned and executed and have an interest in capital equipment, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to develop experience across the full project lifecycle, including design reviews, vendor coordination, equipment installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification, validation, and production release.

This is a hybrid position based in Mahwah, New Jersey, with time split between the office and manufacturing floor.
