Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer in Los Angeles to manage all technical and engineering aspects of the project on-site. You will coordinate with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and staff to plan, schedule, predict, and control resources, quality, and scope.

The role requires reading drawings, developing schedules, take-offs, and leading change management with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accountability in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate/graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• 2+ years in an engineer, project engineer, or similar role in construction.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and project administration.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; strong written/verbal communication.
• Aligned with Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results-oriented, team player.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers on scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans/specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedules and subcontractor schedules.
• Lead development of project plans and coordinate drawings with stakeholders.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure alignment with schedule.
• Review change proposals and negotiate as needed.
• Draft change orders, perform take-offs, estimate costs.
• Lead project close-out and turnover documentation.
• Develop and lead training sessions for team and partners.
• Own document management applications.
