Job summary

Infinium is seeking a Project Engineer in the Engineering department to support commercial-scale energy projects, including SAF facilities and specialty power/cooling systems. You will work cross-functionally to ensure timely development of engineering packages and alignment between engineering, operations, procurement, and project management teams.

This role emphasizes technical integration, schedule discipline, and maintaining quality of engineering deliverables throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) required or preferred.
• 3–7+ years of experience in project engineering within industrial or energy sectors.
• Experience coordinating engineering design packages for large-scale facilities.
• Understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D models.
• Strong communication and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the development of engineering design packages (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
• Serve as liaison between internal teams, technology providers, operations, procurement, and vendors.
• Review datasheets and specifications; ensure documents meet design criteria before procurement.
• Manage progress, schedules, inter-discipline reviews, and risk/issue logs.
• Respond to technical queries (RFIs/TQs) and communicate with stakeholders.
• Lead design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and value engineering sessions.
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor documents and ensuring integration with packages.
• Collaborate with construction/commissioning to implement design intent on site.
• Ensure activities support sustainability, safety, cost, schedule, and performance goals.
