Job summary

Chipton-Ross, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer L4 for a contract opportunity in Canoga Park, CA. This role leads CAM activities with EVMS and oversees the IMS and cost aspects of complex projects, coordinating with IPT leads and customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in propulsion systems, WBS and BOE generation, and advanced MS Office skills to develop proposals and manage programs effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of prior engineering experience; graduate degree with minimum 4 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of prior engineering experience.
• Thorough understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes (design, specification, BOMs, scheduling, validation, QA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAM duties utilizing EVMS with quick turnaround cycles.
• Manage technical, cost and IMS of projects using EVM principles and develop end-to-end proposals.
• Work under IPT Lead with minimal oversight and manage programs within the PM area.
• Provide innovative, thorough, and practical solutions to technical problems.
• Brief management and customers on all project aspects.
• Travel up to 10% to suppliers and production sites.
• Position may require extended hours to meet business objectives.
