Job summary

Ryan Companies is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support project teams across multiple locations, including Lubbock, TX. The role offers hands-on exposure to estimating basics, cost control, and site coordination while you learn Ryan policies and project processes.

This internship is designed for students pursuing a construction engineering/management degree and requires 40 hours per week for a minimum term. Compensation includes an hourly base pay and potential incentives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or closely related field and within 18 months of graduating.
• Be able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.
• Read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural/engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team in completing designated projects while learning construction industry processes and Ryan policies.
• Develop a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts and change orders.
• Gain first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
