Wohlsen Construction seeks a Construction Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to support the project team with administrative, coordination, and document control tasks while gaining hands-on experience in commercial construction management.
You will assist with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, bid packages, logs, and daily project activities, travel to jobsites and offices, and collaborate with trade and design partners under senior guidance.

Provides administrative, coordination, and project support to the project team while gaining practical experience in commercial construction management.
Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and requests for information (RFIs).
Prepare and distribute project documentation, meeting minutes, correspondence, and project communications.
Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
Maintain accurate project files and logs, including permits, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day project management activities.
Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and project team meetings.
Coordinate with trade partners, design partners, and internal team members under the direction of the project team.
Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.
Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related fields.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, or construction management systems is a plus.
Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned jobsites.
This internship may include office work, active job site visits, travel between offices or projects, extended periods of sitting or standing, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and use of required personal protective equipment.
