Job summary

Wohlsen Construction Company is seeking a Construction Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Berwyn, PA. The intern will provide administrative, coordination, and project support to the project team while gaining practical experience in commercial construction management.

You will collect submittals and RFIs, prepare project documentation and meeting minutes, assist with bid packages and draws, and maintain project files. Travel to jobsites and offices is required as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, or construction management systems is a plus.
• Strong written communication, organization, proofreading, and follow-through skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, process, and distribute submittals and RFIs.

• Assist with bid package coordination, quote coverage, project billings, and draws.
• Maintain accurate project files and logs (permits, change orders, submittals, RFIs, closeout).
• Support Project Managers with schedule updates, cost tracking, and day-to-day PM activities.
• Participate in site walks, safety inspections, quality observations, and team meetings.
• Coordinate with trade and design partners under project team direction.
• Travel to project jobsites and regional offices as assigned.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

This internship may include office work, active job site visits, travel between offices or projects, extended periods of sitting or standing, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and use of required personal protective equipment.
