Superior Construction is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for its Summer 2027 Internship Program in Crystal River, Florida. You will support the project management team, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, track materials, manage documents, and report progress to help complete projects safely and profitably.
You will learn estimating, schedule planning, and project controls while reviewing construction plans and interacting with clients and staff in a professional environment.

Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs, and change orders), and progress reporting.
Learn and perform project management functions of estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and project reporting.
Understanding and learning construction plans.
Ability to interact with clients, managers, and employees with a high level of professionalism.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Employees will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent regularly sits for long periods at a desk in front of a computer screen.
This is a full-time internship for 12 weeks during the summer. This is a nonexempt position.
The role requires some travel between the project site and corporate office.
