Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC in Minnesota is offering a 12-week summer internship for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or related fields. You will support the project management team with coordination, tracking, document control, and progress reporting.

This role provides hands-on learning in estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and reading construction plans, with exposure to clients, managers, and site staff.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related fields.
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before the internship.
• Positive attitude towards learning and professional development.
• Ethical conduct and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good time management and teamwork orientation.
• Preferred knowledge of route surveying and scheduling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess or able to obtain a valid state driver’s license before employment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned project office.

Responsibilities

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work on heavy civil and highway construction sites with exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical parts, inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt.
• Regularly sits for long periods at a desk in front of a computer screen.
• Some travel required between project site and corporate office.
