Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC in Tampa, FL offers a full-time, 12-week summer internship supporting the project management team with subcontractor coordination, material tracking, document control, and progress reporting on heavy civil and highway construction sites.

You will learn estimating, schedule planning, project controls, and gain exposure to plans, client interactions, and real-world project delivery while developing strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the upcoming semester.
• Positive attitude towards learning and professional development.
• Ethical conduct and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good time management and teamwork orientation.
• Preferred knowledge of route surveying and scheduling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Possess or able to obtain a valid state driver’s license before employment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned project office.

Compensation & Benefits

• This is a full-time, 12-week summer internship.
• Nonexempt position.

Work Environment

• Work will be performed on heavy civil and highway construction sites with loud noise levels.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt.
• Regularly sitting for long periods at a desk in front of a computer screen.
• Some travel required between project site and corporate office.
