Job summary

Vital Plastics LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri) to drive engineering activities for new and existing customer projects in plastic injection molding. You will manage quotes, feasibility, tooling development, validation, and production transfer to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 5 years in plastics tooling, with strong CAD experience (SolidWorks) and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or minimum of 5 years in plastic injection molding tooling, processing and design.
Thorough understanding of injection molds and injection molding processes.
Efficient hands on experience with SolidWorks or comparable CAD.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to communicate technically.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects to meet customer requirements and budgets.
Lead design, tooling development, validation, and production transfer.
Coordinate kickoff, first production run, and production transfer meetings.
Review CAD models, inspect criteria, and documentation for customer approval.
Identify risks, coordinate corrective actions, and communicate status to stakeholders.
