Job summary

The Project Engineer will drive the technical execution of pneumatic conveying, material handling and dust collection projects from order receipt through commissioning and closeout for Hillenbrand's Coperion team. You will coordinate with customers, vendors, manufacturing, automation, and installation teams to deliver turnkey systems ranging from medium to large scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in project engineering or management in manufacturing environments.
• Strong ability to interpret specifications and reviews of technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects from order receipt through design, manufacturing, commissioning and turnover.
• Coordinate activities with project managers, customers, vendors, manufacturing and installation teams.
• Serve as primary/secondary customer contact during project execution.
• Develop PFDs with equipment tagging and process information.
• Create and maintain P&IDs.
• Review OEM and vendor equipment drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers for drawings and specs.
• Produce stack-up drawings and system layouts.
• Review engineering deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain project drawing packages and engineering records.
• Provide schedule updates to PMs and customers.
• Identify risks and support resolution.
• Coordinate installation subcontract documentation and site activities.
• Support change orders and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
