Coperion Process Solutions LLC in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the technical execution of pneumatic conveying, material handling, and dust collection projects from order receipt through commissioning.
You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams, develop PFDs and P&IDs, review equipment drawings, and support installation and startup. A mechanical engineering degree and strong problem solving are required, with travel up to 35%.
The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and coordination of pneumatic conveying, material handling, and dust collection system projects from order receipt through commissioning and project closeout. This role works within a Project Management & Automation Team and serves as the primary engineering resource for assigned projects, coordinating with customers, vendors, manufacturing, automation, and installation teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Projects may range from standalone systems valued between $500K and $2M to larger turnkey system installations. The Project Engineer may provide technical direction and task assignments to Project Design Engineers and other project team members while supporting project scope, schedule, and successful delivery.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Approximately 20% to 35% travel. Travel may include customer meetings, factory acceptance testing, installation support, commissioning, startup assistance, and troubleshooting activities.
