Job summary

Ryan Companies Inc. is seeking a Construction Intern to assist the project team on designated projects, focused on learning Ryan processes, procedures and policies.

You will work from a construction site for at least six months, gaining hands-on experience with RFIs, shop drawings, and project scheduling while learning safety and site logistics. The role emphasizes education and development, with benefits and opportunities across multiple disciplines as you contribute to real-world project

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Understand architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong interface and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in RFIs and approvals tracking.
  • Maintain shop drawing log and coordinate drawings.
  • Learn site dimensional control and verify dimensions.
  • Support vendor and subcontractor delivery tracking.
  • Learn Ryan safety policies and site logistics.
  • Support permit inspection processes with city/jurisdiction.
  • Keep office and site plans updated with RFIs/ASIs.
  • Assist in punchlist inspections and track completion.
  • Participate in preparing and updating project schedule.
