Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support HVAC construction projects in California. The role aids the Project Manager across budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and vendor coordination, with growth into leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial HVAC or mechanical systems and are adept with Procore, Primavera P6, and MS Project. You will manage multiple project phases, aligning technical details with client and field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in HVAC or MEP construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam and Viewpoint Vista.
• Strong communication, scheduling and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple construction phases and teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing mechanical/HVAC scopes from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and field teams on status.
• Maintain budgets, manpower logs, and construction schedules.
• Support issue resolution and identify corrective actions as needed.
• Track and verify submittals, equipment specifications, and material deliveries.
• Contribute to project planning, vendor sourcing, and quality assurance activities.
• Participate in meetings and manage internal documentation using software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.

This position assists the Project Manager in all phases of mechanical project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and vendor coordination.
