Job summary

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. in Fullerton, CA, is seeking a Project Engineer to grow skills and contribute to multi-region projects. The candidate should be open to learning, disciplined, systems-driven, and detail-oriented, with a proactive attitude to help team members.

Responsibilities include submittals, RFIs, schedules, cost tracking, environmental permits, and project documentation; proficiency in Procore, MS Project, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field or Construction Management Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
• Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage submittals & RFIs.
• Review incoming submittal prior to sending to the owner.
• Update and maintain project baseline & weekly schedules.
• Assist / Manage work plans, post plans, and pre-plan process.
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare proposals, process submittals, and RFIs; participate in project safety.
• Understand engineering, architectural, and construction drawings.
• Know construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Familiarity with software for job costing, reporting, scheduling, and estimating.
• Create or assist weekly meeting agenda.

Duties:

• Prepare and manage submittals & RFIs
• Review incoming submittal prior to sending to the owner
• Update and maintain project baseline & weekly schedules
• Assist / Manage work plans, post plans, and pre-plan process
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare proposals, process submittals, and requests for information, participate in project safety
• An understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
• Be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, reporting, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating
• Create or assist in weekly meeting agenda
• Assist / Manage work plans, post plans, and pre-plan process
• Assist in managing environmental permits and regulations
• Project document control

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant Engineering field or Construction Management Certification
