Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a student engineer to contribute to aerospace projects in mechanical and aerospace engineering domains. You will engage in design, analysis, and testing of engine controls, navigation, and platform integration while developing simulations and engineering tools.

You will write software requirements, perform testing, and support systems through their lifecycle. A strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking is expected.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Willingness and ability to work in the United States.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale without rounding.
  • Currently attending a full-time matriculated and nationally accredited program in engineering.
  • Accepted degrees include Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
  • Strong commitment to a career in technology and passion for engineering.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and collaborative teamwork abilities.
  • Analytical-minded problem solver and critical thinker.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft products.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Job description

  • Work on challenging, real-world aerospace systems and defense problems for commercial and military applications
  • Support aerospace systems through their service life
