Job summary

Metcut Research is seeking an Engineer II – Project to lead planning and execution of test programs, manage schedules, technical work, communications, and budgets. This role requires collaboration with technicians and engineers to ensure timely, accurate results.

You will develop CAD fixtures, generate reports, and drive process improvements, leveraging 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience and strong MS Office and CAD skills. On-site work in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD Software
• Ability to lead topic discussions which require acute understanding or specialized knowledge
• Ability to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task
• Maximum weightlifting requirement is 50lbs
• Standing to sitting ratio is 30/70, respectively

Responsibilities

• Owns day-to-day tasks focusing on planning and execution of test programs
• Manages scheduling, technical execution, communications, and finances
• Develops CAD designs and fixtures with proper tolerancing
• Produces internal work instructions for technicians and machinists
• Leads groups to define and develop technical solutions
• Evaluates processes for engineering correctness and risk mitigation
• Compiles data and test results into databases and reports
• Manages program budgets and invoicing requirements
