Amazon seeks a Project Engineer II to lead mechanical and technical aspects of complex material-handling system projects. You will work with the project team, customers, and vendors to drive realization from sales handover to customer acceptance.

Responsibilities include completing tasks on time and within budget, validating technical solutions, and ensuring safety and compliance. Strong communication and multi-project leadership are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in material-handling industry.
• System-level knowledge of mechanical, PLC controls, and software engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication across audiences.
• Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.

The Project Engineer II serves as mechanical and technical lead on complex integrated material-handling systems projects. This role works closely with the rest of the project team, including the customer and involved vendors, to ensure overall realization and success of the project. The Project Engineer II supports assigned projects from sales handover to customer acceptance, completing and/or delegating assigned technical tasks on-time, within budget, and with a high level of quality.

What you'll be handling

• Completes assigned project tasks to maintain budget, schedule, and quality requirements, while maintaining awareness of contractual requirements regarding system performance.
• Ensures customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding as-sold margins in accordance with project budget and schedule.
• Validates plausibility of technical solutions, clarifying contradictions or inconsistencies with customers and/or suppliers.
• Assists with monitoring department and supplier functional specifications and layout against contractually agreed performance.
• Ensures system compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.
• Participates in layout creation and project-specific revisions, focusing on integration of construction and supplier equipment, proactive detection of collisions, and coordination with layout designer.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience within material-handling industry.
• System-level working knowledge of Mechanical, PLC Controls, and Software Engineering
• Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Pay range: $110,000 - $120,000
