Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Project Engineer II – Electrical & Mechanical Systems in Massachusetts to drive the technical execution of engineered-to-order projects from post-order handoff through design, manufacturing, FAT, startup readiness, and closeout. You will bridge Sales, Applications Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to fulfill customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Typically four or more years of project/design/manufacturing experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience reading P&IDs, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and technical submittals.
• Familiar with engineered-to-order equipment and FAT/startup processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical, controls, and system-integration activities for assigned projects.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering deliverables, milestones, and decisions.
• Coordinate with internal resources, suppliers, and engineering partners to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Support manufacturing, FAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure design for manufacturability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
