Job summary

Vitesse Systems, LLC seeks a Project Engineer II to join the Harbor City, CA team. The role unites a cross-functional group to innovate and deliver antenna solutions within customer parameters. You will lead engineering design evaluations, manage budgets, and schedule adherence while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a solid background in mechanical/aerospace/RF engineering, strong communication, and hands-on CAD modeling with SolidWorks or CREO. Security clearance is a possibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, RF/Electrical Engineering or other related Engineering degree.
• 3+ years related experience.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to read drawings and inspect work.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Experience with passive RF antenna components, feeds, and assemblies desired.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• SolidWorks or similar CAD software experience.
• Knowledge of analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead development of detailed engineering project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead the design and development of deliverables to all specifications.
• Perform 3D modeling and drafting using SolidWorks and/or CREO.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with technical requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Oversee the creation and validation of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Troubleshoot design and production issues, implementing solutions to improve system performance.
• Evaluate design changes and ensure their integration into the final product.
• Interface with customers to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Present project updates, design concepts, and test results to clients and upper management.
