Ghilotti Construction Company in Santa Clara, California is seeking a Project Engineer II to support the Area Manager on heavy civil construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project teams, managing RFIs, and providing engineering support during construction efforts.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and at least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera are essential. The Project Engineer II collaborates with and supports the Area Manager on designated projects with an increased knowledge of heavy civil construction projects. Operating under limited supervision, the role entails executing routine daily tasks, as well as collecting and disseminating information. This position necessitates a flexible and adaptable team player with robust communication and client service skills. Project Engineers II may be assigned to specific tasks within the Underground or Paving divisions.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, employees, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
