Job summary

MARS Energy Solutions in Rocklin, CA is hiring a Project Engineer I to support solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects. The role offers a balanced mix of design work and field execution, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer and supporting the Project Manager.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The role requires 0–4 years in related engineering fields, a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Civil Engineering (ABET a bonus), and familiarity with Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst, and Procore.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years in solar PV, construction, or related engineering field.
• Internship or academic project experience acceptable for entry-level.
• ABET-accredited degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support early-stage design — preliminary PV layouts in Helioscope and AutoCAD.
• Produce CAD design work and assist with PE-stamped sets.
• Assist with design-construction submittals; coordinate with Procore.
• Support utility interconnection and AHJ permitting processes.
• Site visits to verify installations align with IFC drawings.
• Maintain as-built redlines and assist project closeout.
