Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an aspiring Project Engineer 1 to support general construction management, QA/QC planning, and on-site execution on our Georgia projects. You’ll learn from seasoned professionals while handling daily reports, documentation, and coordination with trades.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, Lean practices, and collaboration across project teams. A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, with travel and non-traditional hours

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in entry-level construction roles is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills required.
Familiarity with Lean principles a plus.

Responsibilities

Support project team with on-site activities including monitoring crew size, hours, materials and equipment.
Assist in punch lists, inspections, safety reviews and documentation.
Prepare and disseminate project reports (daily/weekly) and manpower updates.
Coordinate with trades and subcontractors to track shop drawings and deliveries.
Utilize company standards for building methods and processes.
Develop understanding of cross-functional roles and project lifecycle.
