Job summary

Zachry Group's Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is seeking talented Project Engineers to join our Project Management Department in Downers Grove, IL. This role offers involvement in challenging design projects for clients across process and power industries.

You will support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with engineering disciplines, with travel to field sites as required. A strong engineering background, effective communication, and multi-tasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power and/or Renewable Energy sectors.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or related project management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required to provide effective intra and inter-discipline coordination.
• Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling project aspects, including schedules and budgets.
• Define work scope and prepare overall schedules and budgets on small projects.
• Develop cost estimates for additional work or contract modifications.
• Coordinate engineering activities for development of engineered deliverables and review drawings for scope consistency.
• Coordinate input from disciplines and ensure quality control of deliverables.
• Manage project communications and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
