Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Downers Grove Design Center. You will lead a team of electrical engineers on oil & gas and petrochemical projects, planning, designing and guiding technical work under department management.

Key responsibilities include mentoring, adherence to NEC/IEEE standards, and coordinating with procurement and field teams. A PE license is expected to sign drawings and ensure QA across tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 15+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer on Refining, Petrochemical and industrial projects.
• Experience with SKM and ETAP preferred; strong knowledge of NEC/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Electrical Engineers.
• Independently perform assignments with direction on objectives and policy.
• Plan, organize and supervise work of engineers and technicians.
• Seal and sign documentation as a Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Provide studies, specifications, evaluations and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with vendors and assess equipment and drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA procedures are followed.
