Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio is seeking a professional to apply project management across development, justification, design, construction and start-up, supporting documentation and coordination under supervision.

You will assist with cost estimates, schedules, and DSP preparation, participate in MOC/PSI reviews, and coordinate with external engineering consultants to complete cost-effective projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 0+ years of industry experience preferred or required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Applies project management skills across all phases: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up. Supports project documentation, data gathering, and coordination tasks under supervision.
• Assists with cost estimates, schedules, and DSP preparation.
• Participates in Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI), and mechanical integrity documentation reviews and learns requirements.
• Coordinates with external engineering consultants and designers to complete projects and studies cost-effectively.
• Develops scope, cost estimates, and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares Decision Support Packages (DSPs) and presents to leadership.
• Collaborates with stakeholders including Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
• Observes HAZOP reviews and incident investigations
• Learns engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety, environmental, and permitting standards.
• Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices or conditions are observed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering degree preferred.
