Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for a major multiyear interstate widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You’ll handle submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking while working in the field on bridge and roadway work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Experience with highway, bridge or DOT projects is a plus.
• Primavera P6 and MS Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay application backup.
• Track cost against budget and help with monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend real time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
