Job summary

Metric Geo in Columbia, MO is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing team on heavy civil construction projects. You’ll support project managers and superintendents from preconstruction through completion, reviewing plans, managing RFIs and submittals, and coordinating with subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, and hands-on experience with highway, utilities or site development work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in heavy civil, highway, utilities, earthwork, concrete or site development.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day project management and field operations.
• Review plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and project correspondence.
• Assist with project scheduling and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Track quantities, production and project progress.
• Support change orders and pay applications.
• Assist with procurement and material coordination.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Work with field teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
