Job summary

Demathieu Bard in the DMV region seeks a Project Engineer to keep heavy civil projects on schedule and within budget. You will monitor cost data, manage subcontractors, and verify quality and safety compliance.

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate with engineers and field teams, review drawings, and drive delivery while maintaining cost controls and adherence to safety standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years experience with a General Contractor.
• Knowledge of construction project management.
• Strong scheduling and cost-tracking capabilities.
• Ability to review drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm resources.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate work methods, schedule, and crews.
• Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling.
• Identify risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Evaluate daily production, schedule and budget projections for performance.
• Update project schedule monthly for owner/management reporting.
• Prepare and manage a three-week work plan; flag changes and mitigate delays.
