Job summary

Demathieu Bard, launching a new heavy civil construction company in the DMV region, seeks a Project Engineer to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. You will monitor cost data, manage subcontractors, and verify compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with field teams, reviewing drawings and specs, and managing RFIs and reporting. 3–5 years' GC experience and EIT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 3-5 years of GC experience required.
• Earthworks and site development experience required.
• Data center construction experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of construction project management and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedule with engineering and field crews.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules and crews.
• Review shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements.
• Provide input for project work plan and scheduling.
• Identify risks to budget or schedule and develop mitigations.
• Track production, schedule and budget projections.
• Prepare monthly project schedule updates for stakeholders.
• Manage RFIs and project quantities/cost reporting.
• Oversee invoicing with accounting for materials and subcontractors.
• Review permits and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
