Markent Personnel, Inc. in the Savannah area seeks a Project Engineer for a major interstate widening—highway and bridge work with a long runway.

You’ll manage submittals, RFIs, quantities, and cost tracking, update schedules in Primavera P6, and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and inspections with DOT teams. This multiyear role offers a clear path from Project Engineer to Senior Project Engineer, plus a company vehicle and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project or field engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities and cost tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope.
• Build quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay backup.
• Track cost against budget and assist monthly cost reports.
• Help update the project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with DOT inspectors and design engineers on field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Spend time in the field on bridge and roadway work.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and Superintendent.
