Job summary

Demathieu Bard is launching a new heavy civil construction presence in the DMV region. We seek a Project Engineer to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery of complex infrastructure projects in the Alexandria office with field operations in MD/VA.

You will monitor cost data, manage subcontractors, review drawings, and verify quality and safety compliance. 3–5 years GC experience preferred; EIT is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Certification: EIT.
• 3–5 years of experience with a General Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Meet with engineering and field teams to review schedules and resources.
• Oversee subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews.
• Review drawings, specs, and material requirements.
• Contribute technical input for work plans and scheduling.
• Identify risks affecting budget or timeline.
• Analyze daily production and update owner reports.
• Prepare and manage a three-week work plan and RFIs.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality standards.
