Job summary

ASIBACC in the Hudson Valley is seeking a Project Engineer to support day-to-day project operations on heavy civil construction projects.

This hands-on role works with the Project Manager and Superintendent to maintain documentation, track quantities, schedule work, manage RFI and submittals, and assist with project accounting and material deliveries, while ensuring accurate reporting and field readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent construction experience.
• Proven heavy civil construction experience.
• Experience as Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or intern on heavy civil projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read plans, track quantities, and manage documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with project controls software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project management and documentation.
• Coordinate with Superintendent and field staff to keep work on schedule.
• Manage RFI and submittal processes.
• Track daily quantities for payment, production, and inspection.
• Process owner billings and assist with project accounting.
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate material deliveries.
• Plan and order materials and supplies for upcoming work.
• Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules.
• Assist with monthly CPM schedule updates.
• Maintain daily SWPPP inspection logs and reports.
• Track project documentation and follow up on outstanding items.
• Identify schedule, production, material, and cost issues early.
