Job summary

American Bridge Company in Jamestown, NY seeks a Project Engineer to plan and execute heavy civil construction activities, including coordinating with Superintendents and field staff to ensure work meets safety, quality, and owner requirements.

You will delegate tasks to Field Engineers, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and support cost control with Look Ahead schedules and production tracking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy civil construction serving as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Experience coordinating with Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Ability to mentor Field Engineers and Interns; focus on Safety and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute construction activities from work plans to field support.
• Coordinate with Safety and Quality to meet AB and Owner requirements.
• Delegate planning and execution tasks to Field Engineers (2+).
• Coordinate with Subcontractors and Suppliers on schedule, submittals, and cost impact.
• Support Project Manager with cost control, Look Ahead schedules, and production tracking.
