Job summary

IOC Company LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for our Rio Grande Valley operation. The role supports planning, estimating, management direction, and the financial success of construction projects in heavy civil environments.

Ideal candidates coordinate contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications, focusing on on-site management, scheduling, and vendor/subcontractor communications.

Qualifications

• Must have a 4-year degree or 5 years of related field experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work beyond normal hours, including weekends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with MS Office, Primavera P6, HCSS HeavyJob (preferred), Trimble survey equipment.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Project Management.
• Project Coordination & Project Controls.
• Construction billings and cost tracking for job cost analysis.
• Ensure Project Schedule Adherence and develop/manage two-week look ahead.
• Maintain records/logs and prepare close-out documents.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and owners.
• Complete RFQ and bid packages.

Project Engineer-Heavy Civil Construction

IOC Company a dynamic road and highway construction company is seeking a Project Engineer for our Rio Grande Valley Operation

The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting in the planning, estimating, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be required to coordinate all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include, but not limited to:

• On-Site Project Management
• Project Coordination & Project Controls
• Construction Billings, Cost tracking for sequential costing to include Job Cost Analysis
• Project Schedule Adherence
• Developing, managing & enforcing construction schedule
• Maintaining records and logs
• Communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and owners
• Completing RFQ and bid packages
• Developing and following a two week look ahead schedule
• Participating in subcontractor and owner meetings
• Preparation and delivery of close out and owner's manuals

Requirements

• Must have a 4-year degree, or 5 years of related field experience preferred
• Poses a valid driver's license
• Have the ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a fast pace environment.
• Able to work beyond normal business hours when needed to including weekends.
• Poses superior communication and organizational development skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and mange cross-functional teams.
• Experience with: MS Office, Primavera Scheduling P6 and HCSS Heavy Job (preferred), triple business center, Trimble survey equipment, machine control, propeller- a PLUS
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)
