Job summary

IOC Company LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for Heavy Civil Construction in the Edinburg/Mission, TX area. The role requires coordinating drawings, specifications, and contract terms while tracking costs and preparing bid packages.

The candidate should hold a four-year degree (or equivalent experience), have a valid license, and be able to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects, including occasional after-hours work. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a big plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a 4-year degree, or 5 years of related field experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Work beyond normal hours when needed, including weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with MS Office, Primavera P6 and HCSS HeavyJob preferred, plus Trimble/Propeller tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specs.
• Handle construction billings and cost tracking for job cost analysis.
• Maintain records/logs and communicate with vendors, subcontractors, owners.
• Prepare RFQ and bid packages.
• Develop and follow a two-week look-ahead schedule.
• Participate in subcontractor and owner meetings.
• Prepare and deliver close-out documents and owner's manuals.

Position Description

The ideal candidate will be required to coordinate all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include, but not limited to:

• Construction Billings, Cost tracking for sequential costing to include Job Cost Analysis
• Maintaining records and logs
• Communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and owners
• Completing RFQ and bid packages
• Developing and following a two week look ahead schedule
• Participating in subcontractor and owner meetings
• Preparation and delivery of close out and owner's manuals

Position Requirements
