Job summary

Kitchell is seeking an organized Project Engineer with 1–2 years of project experience for our Phoenix, AZ area team. The ideal candidate will support submittals, RFIs, scheduling, and procurement activities to keep projects on track and within budget.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, assist in progress payments and change orders, and help maintain documentation and QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Project Engineer experience.
• Association or bachelor degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field.
• OSHA 10 certificate or equivalent is preferred

Responsibilities

• Review submittals and RFIs for contract compliance and project needs.
• Maintain project files, logs, and procurement updates to support schedule.
• Assist in preparing monthly progress payments and change orders.
• Chairs or supports meetings; track action items and follow-ups.
• Support quality-control activities and field inspections as directed by PM.
