Job summary

Kitchell is seeking an experienced Project Director to join our Tucson team.

This employee-owner will establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and design teams; recruit, hire, train, and develop Kitchell employees to their fullest potential; and take a lead role in business development, proposals, presentations, estimates, bids, and contract negotiations for assigned projects and clients throughout the Tucson metro area.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree required in CM, engineering, architecture or related field.
• Minimum of fifteen years of experience in project management.
• Direct experience building and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and train assigned staff to comply with Kitchell procedures, strategic and long term goals.
• Participate in development and implementation of Kitchell's strategic and long term plans.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Kitchell employees; conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and salary reviews annually.
• Monitor budget and operating plan for staff compliance.
• Maintain leadership role in Preconstruction Services on assigned projects.
• Monitor activities and operational issues; facilitate resolution.
• Oversee all administrative functions of a project.
• Develop promotional materials and attend events to promote Kitchell.
• Develop and maintain professional business relationships with clients, public officials, subcontractors, and others.
• Maintain knowledge of business and land development activities and propose opportunities to the region.
