Job summary

Dawson Construction LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to support Project Manager and Superintendent on commercial/industrial projects in Alaska or Bellingham, WA. This role combines field and office duties to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include bidding support, contract tracking, schedule updates, coordination with owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers, and maintaining plans and specs. A BS in CM/Engineering and 2–3 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

2–3 years of project engineering experience on commercial or industrial projects.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or closely related field is required.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with project, managerial, and administrative tasks.
Provide field, technical and administrative support at job sites or offices.
Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and track contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist with bidding, take-offs, quotes.
Update project schedules and manage plans and specs.
Prepare change orders and ensure safety culture.
Coordinate meetings and maintain minutes.
